The Gill MaxiMet GMX600 is a compact weather station that measures wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and rainfall in one small all-in-one sensor. It uses an ultrasonic wind sensor and an optical rain sensor with no moving parts, so it needs very little maintenance. It is used for weather monitoring at solar farms, agriculture sites, construction sites, ports, schools and research stations.

Very little. It has no moving parts, so there are no bearings or cups to wear out. Occasional cleaning is usually all that is needed.
